Catwoman: Hello Darkness, My Old Friend // Bruce and Selina

He grinned and shook his head. “I always find you and you don’t always win! you normally end up here!” He laughed he’d always chased her she would go here or to her former home. He watched her leave and turned shaking his head.
He wandered towards the cave himself hearing her footsteps echoing away from him as she left. He’d always been soft for Selina, he didn’t doubt he was wrong about her despite what the others told him. After all the world’s greatest detective, couldn’t possibly be wrong.. Could he?
He shook the thoughts away pulling clothing away and replacing it with the suit, holding the cowl in his hands he places it slowly over his face before running out the same way Selina left thoughts on meeting her again later.

Catwoman: Hello Darkness, My Old Friend // Bruce and Selina
He watched her carefully, he could see the guilt writing itself across her face and he softened his facial expressions. He may have been a hard man at times but he was far from uncaring. He had a soft spot for Selina. “Don’t worry over them Selina, they are fine.”
He watched…
He grinned and followed her leaning against the doorway he watched her wash her dishes. He shook his head, yes Alfred did clear up after them but they tried as often as possible not to leave him too much to do. “We help him Selina, and we really aren’t that messy!”
He listened to her laugh she knew better than to believe him. They made a lot of mess all of them but tried to clear it away a little as not to leave a massive mess. It rarely seemed to work though, unfortunately.
She snorted, disbelieving just as he had probably expected. “You and the boys? Not messy? I’m sorry, but I call bullshit.” She said with a grin, finishing washing her dishes before turning around to face him, leaning against the counter as she surveyed his appearance. He was still so strong and handsome-looking; like he could sweep her off her feet if he wanted to.
He had certainly tried and succeeded to do so in the past.
Selina wasn’t sure what about Bruce made it so hard for her to commit to him, to admit that it would really always be him in the end. Perhaps she was afraid to submit and sign herself to a life of being in love with a man who is never putting her first. And never around long enough to try.
He watched her carefully as she surveyed him. He knew exactly what she thought her facial expressions were clear as the sky had been earlier. She always thought of him of how he was, how he was never there for her as much as she’d like. Unfortunately he believed that even if he was there for all the time she’d have trouble committing, afraid she’d be bored.
“Are you sure you won’t get bored staying here with the big old Bat?” He smiled she stuck her tongue out at him a childish gesture but one that seemed to make him laugh all the same. He glanced out of the window at the darkening sky and sighed. He knew that pretty soon he’d have to go out but he knew it would only initiate a problem.
He turned back to Selina seeing the expression on her face she knew he was thinking of patrol and he kept his face perfectly blank. “I won’t go if you want me to stay Selina, I’m sure you have a lot you want to discuss.” In short he wanted to stay here but all the same Batman staying in? A rare occurrence. But one that seemed to happened often for Selina.

He smiled still watching her from his seat and listened to her. Musing slightly he shook his head he knew she had had a thing for Robin and it was a hard memory in a strange way. Though he’d always forced emotions away from him, he was just a boy and all his ‘boys’ seemed to be smitten with Selina alongside him. “No, they’ve gone to be with their respective families for now I think. Better that way, I work better alone I don’t have to look after them.” He grinned a little to show he was joking, Selina knew how much he hated patrolling with them sometimes, but then he had never really been good at teamwork.
“I know Selina, but I feel a sense of protection, in terms of I’m never going to let that happen again.” He was right he did feel guilty for what had happen but he was determined that it wouldn’t happen whilst he was around again. He dropped the subject at her facial expressions. It didn’t seem to be something she wanted to talk about but he dropped it anyway with a sigh and continued to watch her, studying her facial expressions and movements.

Selina Kyle…
“Dick isn’t a bad boy, but he’s still not big enough to tell me what to do.” The last of the anger left him and he smiled at her. He read her expressions she never had been Dick’s biggest fan though he had always lovingly adored her in a way that only he could pull off. He patted her arm and smiled as she settled down to eat. He passed a knowingly smile to Alfred as he left them.
“Good it’s good to know you’ll be here for tonight with me atleast.” He watched her eating and settled himself onto a nearby chair and watched her. “So Hugo left?” He watched her nodded as she chewed bu she didn’t say anything/ Bruce wouldn’t press her much whilst she was eating. He stayed silent slipping into his own thoughts of when she was in such a state in the cave, how close he’d been to losing her. He shook the thoughts away but she saw him do it and looked at him questioningly.
“I’m thinking again, You know what I’m like, press things too far in my mind.” He smiled a little it was hard to unsettle him but somethings unsettled him ever so slightly.

He crossed his arms and watched her as she approached slowly. He couldn’t help himself he smiled a little and titled his head towards her. “I don’t try to hurt you Selina, I don’t like to see you hurt. I try to look after you if I can.” He knew that was true more than once he’d dropped everything to go and get her, he’d been called a fool for it but he didn’t like to see her upset for any reason.
He grinned a little again and shook his head. “You all left me here, Dick is back though so I have no chance to enjoy the silence.” He tried not to smile he knew Selina knew how hard it was to get a quiet moment around Dick he could be worse than Tim at times but he was just excited to be there most times. Something that Bruce had never experienced really he was always the dark brooding one compared to Dick.
He looked back at Selina and smiled more warmly at her this time. “How long are you planning on staying for Selina?”

Selina Kyle was a cat. She had been a cat her whole life. Regardless of the situation, regardless of how difficult it was or how horrible it was, or how awful it was, Selina Kyle always landed on her feet.
Like a…
He almost laughed but forced himself to keep the same controlled expression. She always had been one for blunt statements, but the bluntness and the honesty was part of her charm. With Selina he always knew where he stood, well sometimes atleast.
He offered a small smile at her statement. “True, I do but then, you can’t blame me can you?” The statement sounded harsh it lingered and he felt slightly bad as he saw the wince and her following words about Strange. He shook his head slightly and looked back her staring at her his gaze lingering longer than it should of perhaps.
“Strange, he comes and he goes. I would worry over him Selina.”
